The PEGN315 Field Session 1 was held in Permian Basin again this year.
Professor Parisa Bazazi joined the Field Session this year, along with five graduate student TAs (Dias Albdimaulen, Jing Fu, Jiarong Li, Roman Yermako and Chi Zhang). Scheduling field tours around Midland and Odessa was easy thanks to the many Mines Alumni working in the area. We visited drilling rigs, frac sites, and production sites. We enjoyed a Mines Alumni Evening Event sponsored by CHEVRON at their office. The 28 Petroleum Engineering students that attended the Session were highly engaged and asked plenty of questions. Many thanks to ConocoPhillips, Don-Nan Pumps, Weatherford International, ADS Services, COTERRA and Permian Resources for providing in-depth field and office visits. Special thanks to our Company Host Alums Lauren Badger, Levi Harris, and Barry Thomas and all the Mines alumni who led the small group tours on location. We could not provide the Field Session experience without alumni involvement. We appreciate very much you generosity and enthusiasm and look forward to seeing you next year!
