Geothermal Rising Conference
Geneva Loff attended the Geothermal Rising Conference in August with Dr. Fleckenstein. She and Colby Royer have been working on the FORGE project which deals with geothermal.
AIMCS Conference
Abdulaziz Bazaid was nominated to be a Committee Member of AIMCS 2023 which will be held on the 16th through the 18th of May in Abu Dhabi-UAE.
This event is led by Mr. Omar El Sinnary, Manager, Engineering Services (Inspection & Corrosion & TA), ADNOC Gas Processing, and is attended by industry leaders from the top Oil & Gas companies in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, and Oman.
The conference committee will comprise of senior experts in Asset Integrity from leading Oil and Gas companies. The event will bring together the latest technologies revolutionizing Asset Integrity, case studies, and real field challenges and experiences from different experts in the field.
SPE Outstanding Award
Mouna Benabid received the Gruver award and attended ATCE, where she received the SPE Outstanding Award on behalf of her previous University (SPE University of Boumerdes Student Chapter, Algeria)
SPE Joint Session
The students took point on revamping SPE Joint Session. The venue was changed to the Rose in downtown Golden and they added a casual Petrobowl tournament. The more casual venue and format allowed for greater mingling and networking between students and Denver SPE members. We hope to see even more locals there next spring!
