On Wednesday September 6th the SPE Mines Chapter together with Continental Resources hosted this year’s welcome back BBQ! The two-hour event was filled with yard games, networking opportunities, new merch, speeches, and most importantly great food. Among the Continental Resources representatives was on of our very our own, Niels Snow who graduated from the Mines in 2021. Not only was it a great opportunity to mix and mingle with Continental Resources to learn about their internship and work opportunities, but to also meet the departments freshman class and catch up from summer break. Both the department and Continental handed out new merch for the year such as T-shirts, cooler bags, phone wallets, and notebooks. There was lots of food to go around such as BBQ pulled chicken and pork along with a few sides for the over 100 students and teachers who attended the event.
